What Fashion Trends are Making Waves This Season?
Pool parties are the place to make a splash with your summer wardrobe this season.
Blue Haven takes a look at what’s hot in fashion and accessories for this summer, so that you remain cool sitting poolside.
One piece costumes
Once reserved for new mums or those self-conscious about their curves, the one-piece bathing costume has become this summer’s must have item. No longer designed to cover everything up, this season’s styles feature sexy side cutouts, plunging necklines, crochet and lace detailing and even a bit of bling. Strapless one pieces are also proving a hit this summer as well as swimming costumes with ruched waistlines for problem areas.
Bare shoulders
Invoke your inner senorita and add some fun to your outfit with a cheeky off the shoulder top or dress. Flattering to all body shapes, they also project a holiday vibe.
Kaftans
Team your sexy one piece bathing suit with a gorgeous kaftan for effortlessly cool poolside chic. This summer, the more bling and colour the better. Accessories with sunglasses and strappy sandals for a no fuss pool party outfit.
Cutoff denim shorts
Perfect to pull over swimmers, a pair of denim shorts is a must have staple for your summer wardrobe. Opt for vintage cutoff jeans with frays and dress them up or down for a casual chic look.
Sun lotion
There’s nothing sexy about sunburn or peeling skin. So for this summer, tanning oil is out and sunscreen is in. Opt for at least SPF 15 to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays.
Fun poolside accessories
Forget Instagram – Polaroid cameras are what’s making a splash this summer. The retro cameras capture your special moments instantly in a cute photo that you can keep. The perfect towel is always a must have accessory for poolside lazing in style – this season brightly coloured round towels are making a statement. And the inflatable swans are still a fun floating accessory and are sure to add a bit of fun to your poolside bash.
