Brief: The client wanted a pool which they could swim laps in and also enjoy a staycation at.
Construction: The site was complicated due to flood zone and back wall barriers had to be created for two reasons; firstly it was designed to look impressive with two sloping sides rather than a straight lined boundary looking wall and secondly to become a suspended platform created for the customers teenagers to use the area as a diving platform. This area was also used to hide pool equipment under the suspended platform.
We built a daybed from concrete which was fully tiled. There was a raised spa complete with champagne bucket holder and finally an extra wide ledge for the customers brief of wanting a relaxing area for parties.
The pool scum gutter design was implemented so the pool water could always be at the very top of the waterline.
