Set in Elanora Heights on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, this custom concrete pool was designed to feel calm, natural and connected to the home.
Built for Sigourney Cantelo, this project reflects a lifestyle focused on wellness, simplicity and relaxed outdoor living. Rather than creating a standard backyard pool, the design was shaped around how the space would feel, function and flow every day.

Soft Curves and Natural Flow
One of the standout features of this project is the curved concrete design.
Instead of hard, straight lines, the pool uses soft curves, internal ledges and an external arched seat feature to create a more organic and relaxed feel.
This design approach helps the pool feel like part of the landscape rather than something added on top of it.

Built Around an Existing Palm Tree
A unique part of this Elanora Heights pool is the way it was built around an existing palm tree.
Rather than removing the tree, the design allowed it to remain in place, emerging through the concrete and becoming a natural feature of the pool area.
This creates a strong connection between the pool, the landscape and the existing character of the home.

A thoughtful landscape integration that makes the pool feel natural, established, and designed specifically for the site.
Premium Interior Finish and Waterline Detail
The pool interior features Haven White with clear glass bead render, creating a clean, soft and reflective water colour.
This finish helps give the pool a bright, premium look while keeping the overall design calm and natural.
Stone coping and mosaic tiles were also used around the waterline, bench and ledge trims, adding detail without making the space feel too busy.
The finish was selected to create:
- A soft, clean water appearance
- A smooth surface underfoot
- A refined architectural look
- Better light reflection across the pool
- A cohesive finish with the surrounding materials
Integrated Spa for Relaxation
This project also includes an open spa integrated into the pool design.
With 6 spa jets and a blower system, the spa adds a strong wellness element to the space while keeping the overall layout clean and connected.
Instead of feeling like a separate feature, the spa flows naturally with the pool and surrounding seating areas.
